1. Strictly necessary
Session and security cookies that keep you logged in, protect form submissions against cross-site request forgery, and balance load across our infrastructure. These cannot be switched off without breaking the site, and they are set on the basis of necessity rather than consent.
2. Preferences
A cookie remembering your cookie choice, so we stop asking. One remembering interface preferences where you have set them. Nothing in this category is shared with anyone.
3. Analytics
Aggregate page measurement: which pages are read, how visitors arrive, roughly where in the world they are. Configured to avoid cross-site identifiers and long-lived device identity.
In jurisdictions requiring prior consent for analytics, these are not set until you give it, and you may withdraw at any time through the cookie settings link in the footer.
4. What we do not run
No advertising cookies. No retargeting pixels. No data brokers, and no cross-context behavioural advertising. Given what this company handles, that seemed like the only defensible position.
5. Managing cookies
Use the cookie settings link in the footer, or your browser's own controls. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent parts of the site from functioning, including login.
